SHOWCASE will attend a webinar aimed at bettering multi-actor approaches for innovation

21 March 2022

SHOWCASE is dedicated to the integration of biodiversity into farming practices. To achieve this objective, farmers must be motivated to encompass their business interests with society’s sustainability goals. This calls for a multi-actor approach, ensuring that farmers, researchers, and policymakers work together to find solutions, which benefit all stakeholders.

In an attempt to gain insight into the advantages and difficulties in achieving innovations through a multi-actor approach, the EU-funded LIAISON project is organising a webinar, which will bring together nearly 30 multi-actor Horizon projects, working on innovation in agriculture, forestry, and related sectors. The webinar will take place on the 13th of April and it is organised by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at BAS, Bulgaria.

This first-of-its-kind event aims to examine the multi-actor approach on a national level and in a holistic way, looking at both the good and the bad. The results from the discussions will then be transformed into specific policy suggestions for the European Commission and for Bulgaria’s Ministry of Agriculture, aimed at bettering the multi-actor approach.

We look forward to this event and the outcomes it can bring to agricultural innovation.
